The psychiatrist is responsible for providing psychiatric and medical assessments and treatment to individuals in the community who have a diagnosis of psychosis. The psychiatrist, in conjunction with the Program Director, has overall responsibility for monitoring participant treatment and staff delivery of clinical services, utilizing the Need-Adapted treatment model (NATM). The psychiatrist provides clinical supervision education and training of the Need-Adapted Mobile Crisis Team. Works under general direction.Licensure: Board certification or eligibility required. New York State Education Department Physician's License required. Certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology required.Education: Medical degree from an accredited college of medicine required. Completion of residency program in psychiatry required. Completion, upon hire, of the advanced NATM training provided as a part of the Parachute NYC grant.Experience: Two years of experience in working with individuals with psychosis in a mental health setting preferred.
