Partnership Account Manager

Overview

Created in 1998, VNSNY CHOICE is the managed care affiliate of the Visiting Nurse Service of New York and shares its mission of compassion and care for the poor, the chronically ill and elderly. Our guiding principle is to help the most vulnerable among us live safely and independently for as long as possible in their own homes and communities. VNSNY CHOICE has 700 employees, including 227 care management staff. On any given day, VNSNY CHOICE coordinates care for more than 40,000 members through its array of Medicare and Medicaid health plans, including Medicaid Long Term Care, Medicare Advantage, and a HIV/Special Needs Plan. With offices in Manhattan, Brooklyn and upstate New York, VNSNY CHOICE health plans are available in the New York City metropolitan area as well as on a plan basis in selected counties throughout New York State.

Responsibilities

Plans, develops, and implements Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) strategies designed to support program visibility and, where permitted, growth. Collaborates with the product and outreach staff to facilitate and support ongoing enrollment within key referral sources. Works under general supervision.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent work experience required. Valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle or ability to travel through all five boroughs required.

Experience: Minimumof fouryears of Medicare and/or Medicaid enrollment experience required. Prior experience working within a nursing home required. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft office and other Windows-based applications required. Demonstrated ability to gain commitment, build rapport with others (facility staff, physicians, etc.) required. Experience and success in serving ongoing customer needs as a retention strategy required. Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend solutions to market and customer trends required. Strong communication, presentation and sales skills required. Bi-lingual skills may be required based on operational needs.
