VNSNY CHOICE is an organization with roots deep in the communities we serve. We understand that living well at home is about more than just physical well-being. It’s about all the pleasures and blessings of life, great and small, that wellness makes possible. It’s about feeling “at home” – comfortable and safe, surrounded by favorite things, best-loved family and friends, and cherished memories.
- Message from the President, VNSNY CHOICE Health Plans
I am a firm believer in a strong, person-centric primary care system that embodies a holistic approach and is built upon a strong “medical home” foundation. The VNSNY CHOICE team and I have worked to develop and implement innovative managed care solutions designed to ensure that those who are most vulnerable among us do not fall through the cracks in our ever-evolving healthcare system.
A person-centered approach isn't new to health care—but the growing use of technology, regular medical reassessments, and sophisticated care coordination by managed care plans like VNSNY CHOICE, have raised the concept of person-centric care to a new level. Nurses and care coordinators now utilize laptops and state-of-the-art software to maintain accurate health records, communicate with other medical systems, and educate patients about necessary lifestyle changes. At the same time, changes in care management approaches are closely aligned with community health providers to track the progress of our members and connect them swiftly with the appropriate care as needed.
As we continue to address unmet needs in the healthcare landscape through thoughtful advances in personalized care, it's my belief that we'll see an increasingly positive impact on the daily lives of America's seniors. While the challenges of healthy aging are great, the promise is even greater—for in this age of innovation, the only limit is our own imagination.

- Manager, Vendor & Business Relationships
My career with VNSNY CHOICE began in 2013 in the role of Vendor Specialist. Prior to joining VNSNY, I spent seven years with another health plan learning the ropes of vendor management and cultivating my strong customer service and project management skills that are key for success in this role. I came to VNSNY because I wanted to be part of an organization that would challenge me and encourage my growth and development. I have not been disappointed. With my recent promotion to department manager, I now oversee the Vendor Specialists assigned to manage our third party external entities. My role ensures that VNSNY is in compliance with all regulatory agencies, promotes member satisfaction, and creates efficiencies.
The vast learning and development resources VNSNY provides to its employees have nurtured my growth as a professional. Beginning with the onboarding resources I received as a new employee to the numerous workshops and trainings I’ve attended, VNSNY has given me the tools to expand my knowledge and to achieve my professional development goals. My manager and colleagues have also been key to my success. They recognized my potential, even when I didn’t see it, and supported my growth. Not only does VNSNY continue to satisfy my ongoing need to grow as a professional, but I am inspired by the values of caring for the community and being the best in health care delivery. I hope others will see me as someone who is always striving for excellence for myself, my department and VNSNY.
