Assists Corporate Finance leadership in analyzing strategic internal and external business opportunities, including M&A activities. Develops detailed financial models and supports business plan development.
Develops and analyzes business plans for new programs, creating Income Statement, Cash Flow and ROI. Reports on project profitability and risks. Tracks viability of new programs through the design and implementation of performance indicators.
Participates in the maintenance of monthly unit cost and profitability analytics, accessing data and updating costing analysis.
Prepares rate analyses and participates in the development of new reimbursement methodologies including Value Based Payment modeling.
Projects and analyzes impact of new legislation and regulations on VNSNY programs; prepares response from a financial perspective and communicates impact to Government Affairs department.
Provides monthly support to the budget and forecast function and prepares monthly management reports on strategic initiatives.
Works closely with stakeholders in reviewing clinical and operational models; develops financial model to support pricing. Collaborates with the Provider and Health Plan finance leads to validate assumptions and data. Works with outcomes to ensure data integrity and alignment to organizational data mining methodology.
Supports enterprise wide M&A process with financial modeling, analysis, due diligience, and project management support.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related discipline required. Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Health or Public Administration preferred.
Experience: Minimum of four years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a health care setting, required. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access required, Tableau preferred. Experience with Hyperion Financial Planning, PeopleSor, Oracle, and/or Workday preferred. Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required.
