Responsible for providing consistent and integrated access to information contained in the VNSNY and VNSNY CHOICE datamarts for evaluating operational, managerial, and QI processes. Monitors, analyzes and communicates aggregate and regional metrics against benchmarks where applicable. Words under moderate supervision. Education: Masters degree in Computer Science, Public Health, Healthcare Informatics, Health Administration or other relevant discipline required.
Experience: Minimum five years data analysis experience in healthcare, health economics, managed care or health insurance required. Knowledge of Managed Long Term Care products, Medicare Advantage and New York State Medicaid regulatory reporting preferred. Familiarity with medical claims and medical terminology required. Proficient using data science or analytic tools SAS, SQL and Python. Proficiency using Excel (including formulas, sorts, filters, pivot tables, SUMIF statements, VLOOKUP, etc.). Must be able to work independently to accurately answer business questions, including ability to identify patterns in data that drive decision making. Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills are required.
